How Whole Story works

Being healthy is hard on your own. There’s too much to keep track of, too much advice, and none of it knows anything about you. So most of us guess — and hope.

More tracking was never the problem. You can already see your steps, your sleep, your weight; another chart is not what’s missing. What’s missing is something that holds all of it at once — plus the medication you started three weeks ago, the thing you mentioned in June, the appointment you keep meaning to book — and tells you which part matters this morning.

Whole Story is a health coach that gets to know you. Tell it what’s going on the way you’d tell a friend: how you slept, what’s been hurting, what you’re taking, what you’re trying to change. It remembers all of it. It connects the pieces you can’t hold in your head at once — the rough week of sleep and the headaches, the new medication and the afternoon slump, the training block and the resting heart rate that hasn’t come back down. And every morning it tells you the one thing worth knowing today.

What that looks like

The afternoon slump after a new medication. Your afternoons have gone flat since you started something new. You mention it in passing — and it already has the start date, the nights either side of it, and the two other things that changed that week. You get a straight read on what to look at first, and if the answer belongs with your prescriber, you walk in with the dates instead of a vague feeling.

The knee that has come up three times. Your knee is off again. You don’t remember the last time; it does — twice before, both a few weeks into a heavier block. So the next time you start ramping up, it says something before the knee does.

Three doctors, and nobody holding the whole picture. You have a GP, a specialist and a therapist, and you’re the only one who sees all three. Conditions, medications, appointments and what the last visit decided live in one place. So the question you meant to ask is in front of you when you’re in the room.

You don’t have to know what to ask. Start with whatever’s on your mind — I keep waking at 3am, my knee’s off again, I want to feel like myself — and it works it through with you, over weeks if that’s what it takes: what’s likely going on, what to try first, what to watch, and whether it’s working. Some of what it finds you’ll have suspected. Some you won’t have known to look for.

Whatever health means to you right now — sleeping properly, living with a condition and its medications, getting fitter, eating better, or just wanting someone in your corner who keeps up so you don’t have to — it meets you there and moves at your pace. And it gets better the longer it knows you.

Your data is yours — export or delete it any time. Connect Apple Health for the full picture, or don’t — everything works either way.

It’s a coach, not a doctor: it points you to the right care when something needs it.
