What’s new
Every change to Whole Story, newest first, written for the person using it.
A food diary, with or without a plan
Every day has a Diary: your meals and the targets on each, what you logged in each, calories and protein, carbs and fat against the day, your weigh-in and steps. Log from Recent, Favourites, your own foods or your saved meals with one tap; add a quick calorie figure when that is all you know; copy yesterday. The week shows each day over or under, your weigh-ins and the scale against the plan, and once a week the review proposes what to change - you decide.
A session logger, and your training as a block
Start a session from today's plan, a saved day, or blank. Each set shows last time beside the box, with reps in reserve where the block asks for a number; a rest timer sits in a chip, never over the screen. Finish shows what you lifted, what you beat, and asks how it felt. Every movement has a room with its heaviest, its best reps and its history by block; the library knows the equipment; a run or a game is logged in a form of its own, and a watch's copy of the same session is caught.
Food on Home
Home shows what is left against today's number, the meals with Log on the empty ones, a nudge when a timed meal has passed unlogged, and the week's review when one is waiting.
Your first meeting, in order
The coach opens at the top of the thread, not the foot. The meeting's agenda ticks a thread when you have answered it, not when the coach asks. If your form said what you want the coach for, the opening asks about that. A note about your meds no longer loses a word to the safety check.
A draft you accept stays in your notes
Say yes to the coach's draft from your meeting notes and you are back on the notes, with Tomorrow reading its first step and marked On Plan. The reminder about your notes waits until you have answered the Apple Health question, and opens the right screen.
Starting a trial shows its work
The paywall pages through three screens of the app above the prices. Start and Restore show a mark while the action runs, a line while the App Store confirms, and a tick when the trial has started.
Week N of M, and a goal you can finish
A goal card leads with what you said, then which week of the plan you are in. You can write what the focus is. Done finishes it; Drop leaves it. Either way the coach is told.
The calendar is one screen
The month and the day live together. Tap a day and that day's doses, sessions and visits sit under the grid. A day ahead shows what is scheduled, not a blank page.
A card says the window it read
Sleep, heart and training now name the days on file, and since when - days, not buckets. A quiet stretch is not two days over a year of history.
The week of an eating plan, on one screen
Once an eating plan is running, Plan shows the week as a strip and the day with its meals and the times. The pace on the way in is a percent of body weight, so the number means the same thing at any size.
Logging food from a screen
Food is its own screen now: a when-bar for the meal and the time, recents with the last portion, favourites, and a portion you can edit. No meal still counts.
This set, next to last time
A training plan has a room for the week and how it is going. Logging a session puts last time's numbers beside this time's, and finishing gives you a summary.
A tick you can feel
Adding a food, ticking a set, and opening a swipe row now tap back. The motion is small; Reduce Motion still gets the end state.
A plan that proposes a number, and says why
Starting a plan is a run of screens, not a drawer. Eating walks goal, about you, a target and dates, protein and fat, meals, then a review - each step puts a recommended figure in front of you and a page that says why. Training and looking into something each do the same. Rehab writes down what you were given. You choose, and the coach reads how the days go.
A bell when there is a note
A small bell on Home is a note from us, or from your coach, when there is one. It stands only while something is unread, and the note stays under You if you want it later.
The morning after you meet
The day after you first meet the coach, Home says where yesterday left things in one sentence, and a short check-in for that day is on the list. The meeting day is the conversation; the row starts the next morning.
A notice opens, and stays
When something arrives for you, it opens as its own screen and stays there until you swipe it away. Nothing in it disappears just because you saw the dot.
Allergies, with what happens
An allergy is kept with the reaction and how serious it is - "shellfish, anaphylaxis, carries an EpiPen" reads back exactly that way in Care, and the coach checks anything it suggests you eat against it before it suggests it. Tell it in conversation or add it on the About you form.
What runs in your family
Care now holds family history the way a doctor keeps it - the condition, who had it, and roughly when. Say it once ("my dad had a heart attack at 50") and it's on file for the coach to read your own numbers against. If nothing runs in your family, say so and the question goes away.
A note from us, when there is one
When something changes in the app or we have a question for you, a short note appears once on Home and stays under You → About → What's new. Nothing in it is about your health, and there is nothing to do when we have said nothing.
7 days free, then a subscription
Whole Story is $19.99 a month or $149.99 a year after a free week. Nothing is charged until the trial ends, you can cancel any time in Settings, and if you stop, your data stays yours - export or delete it under You → App and account, or start again whenever you like.
Help improve the coach, if you want to
A week in, Home asks once whether someone on the team may read some of your conversations to make the coach better. It's off unless you say yes, Not now is never asked again, and you can change your mind under You → App and account.
Hard months, and how you feel, without a score
Tell your coach about a loss, a move, a new baby, or a pregnancy and it reads your weeks with that in mind - a bad stretch inside one is not a finding, and you end it in your own words. Feeling anxious or unfocused is noted without a score or a disorder name; the coach looks first at what on your file moved with it.
Something you believe is remembered once, then left
If you state a belief about food, a supplement, or a protocol, the coach names it once and does not keep arguing. Only you can change or drop it.
A dose you have not taken yet is later today
An evening pill you have not taken yet reads as later today, not as missed. Not logged and skipped are different things, and neither is a score.
This week means the same thing on every chart
Health, a subject, and one figure now share one set of days: today, this week, this month, this year, or all of it. Your usual is not a range you pick - it stays your own recent average.
A figure, a sentence, then the chart
Each number now reads the same way: the latest reading, what it means in a sentence, then the shape over time. A quiet stretch is a state, not an empty chart.
A morning note only when something is new
The coach writes a longer morning note when something distinct has happened - a first finding, a review due, a question settled. Quiet mornings stay on the Coach tab as what it is working on, not a padded letter.
The Coach tab shows what it is working on
You can see what it is testing, what it is waiting on you for, what it noticed, and what it could not see yet. That list is put together from what it already holds - no extra question to you.
When it cannot see something, it says what would change that
If a pattern needs more of your days than it has, the product names the gap and what would fill it. Silence is not the same as nothing to say.
Logging something now says what it became
After you log a meal, a feeling, or a session, you see what was stored, what will read it, and when it comes back. If nothing is using it yet, it says so.
A weekly review is a choice you make
Keep, change, pause, or end - a material change to a plan waits for you. The week's write-up is the record of that choice, not a substitute for it.
A logged day can be removed
A diary row, a food, or a body reading you add by hand can be deleted. Goals and notices the coach holds stay on file as retired, so the history of what it thought remains readable.
What is being built rather than what has landed is on the roadmap.
